Added 2020-04-28 22:06:56 +0000 UTCahhh today has been such a nightmare. so my parents live 2 hours from the airport so i had rented a car to drive myself (so they wouldn’t have to drive 4 hours for me) i paid like $1000 for the rental car because i had to extend my visit since i found a house and bought it. fast forward to the day i’m finally going home, i wake up at 6:30am and enjoy my last couple hours with them, then i drive 2 hours to the airport, make a wrong turn that adds 20 minutes, then when i’m 15 minutes from the car rental place i get off on the wrong exit and it adds 10 more minutes. i finally get there and return the car, it’s like 11:15 and my flight is at 12 so i’m kind of panicking. i have to take a shuttle to get back to the airport so i wait and finally get on one and the driver disappears so i have to get out of the shuttle and look for a worker and i ask him where tf the driver is and he says idk and i explain i’m gonna miss my flight so he hops on and drives me! so nice! so i tip him $20 and run in to print my boarding pass.... and it’s 11:29 now. machine says “it’s too late to check into this flight speak to someone at the desk” and the girl said sorry there are no more flights to atlanta today. they boarded at 11:20. so my family had to drive 2 hours and get me even tho i paid for a rental to avoid this and i have to stay another day which i don’t mind but everything i did was for nothing bc i dumb 😔🤟
