* 1st Impression: I was intrigued by what seemed to be a baby ass Arnold Schwarzenegger in a horror movie…
* Best / Worst Character:
* Best: Daniel. Honestly, he’s like a mix between a demon and Patrick Bateman from American Psycho and I can get behind his awful decisions.
* Worst: The mom. FUCK. She was insufferable. I didn’t even like her when she “cared” towards the end.
* My Thoughts: So, the whole 2nd half of this movie is just WTF. It starts off like a normal, psychological thriller. Is it gonna be that Luke is crazy or is it gonna be some weird paranormal shit? Oh, we’re gonna go with weird paranormal shit… ok… oh we’re gonna do a lot of weird special effects like this is the movie “Mandy” but on half the budget. I think they’re demons but we don’t get any solid answers and I feel like there was a lot cut out of the script maybe? I can’t believe this has such a high rating on rotten tomatoes honestly, I would have assumed it would be around 65%.
* Biggest WTF Moment: The demon (?) makeup. Also, I think at one point a psychologist referred to literal demon type creatures and then says “they’re called “personal traumas” now” and that just felt like a really weird line.
* Do I recommend? Rating: If you want something to watch in hopes that your partner will get bored and wanna suck your dick… sure. If you’re not looking to waste your time. Don’t. I’d rate it a 4.
