Dahlias Mystery Movie Review: 💵👻💉👻👻👻 * Name: We Go On * Release Date: 2016 * Notable Actors: Annette O’Toole: Beverly Marsh from the ORIGINAL “It” tv series. * Streaming Site: Shudder app * Online Rating: 5.8 IMDB /// 4 stars Amazon/ 100% Rotten Tomatoes * Summary: WE GO ON tells the story of one man's quest to find out if there is more out there after we die. Para*lyzed by his fear of dying, Miles Grissom offers a cash reward to the first person who can show him a ghost, an angel, a demon anything that can prove that we go on after our deaths. He narrows the responses down to three viable candidates a scientist, a medium, and a worldly entrepreneur. Along with his fiercely protective mother, he embarks on an adventure that will spiral into an unthinkable nightmare. * 1st Impression: So, this is the highest rated movie I’ve written about. At least on Rotten Tomatoes it is. It’s kind of weird that it’s such a drastic difference in ratings. I’ll be honest though, I’m putting this on while I’m editing so it was just meant to be something to listen to in the background — but now I am intrigued and will probably get VERY LITTLE work done tonight. * Best / Worst Character: Annette O Toole was actually pretty insufferable but worst goes to the medium that plays Josefine that acts like a junkie the whole time. * My Thoughts: It was good! I’m actually surprised by how much I liked it considering it was a super slow burn. I kind of wish we had gotten a bit more backstory on the ghost / his girlfriend, as well as why they formed their link … but oh well. I’m happy with the movie and definitely didn’t get as much work done as I had meant to. * Biggest WTF Moment: This guy faints at one point… and he lands directly onto 🤮 and old bloood from the dead body of a junkie who overdosed in the building a week prior. I was pretty fucked up. * Rating / Do I recommend? Yes, it’s super solid. I give it an 8.5.

Amazon Prime does for purchase. * Online Rating: 7.2 IMDB / 91% on Rotten Tomatoes * Online Summary: When Cecilia's abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see. * Rotten Tomatoes: Smart, well-acted, and above all scary, The Invisible Man proves that sometimes, the classic source material for a fresh reboot can be hiding in plain sight. * Best / Worst Character: * Best: Elizabeth Moss really just BLOWS you away in this. If you know me, you probably know I’m not a huge Elizabeth Moss fan. I actually regularly say that “her face makes my heart hurt” BUT fuck was she SO FUCKING GOOD in this movie. Maybe it’s just believable to see her as borderline crazy, all the time. * Worst: No one. Nothing. This movie was super fucking solid. It’s cut and clear, you feel for her, hope for her, worry for the other characters in her life and root for her to BEAT THE FUCK OUT OF HER ABUSIVE HUSBAND WHO HAS MADE AN INVISIBLE SUIT TO STALK HER. * My Thoughts: I would give this a solid 9. It’s hard to give a perfect 10 to a horror movie, even stuff as good as “Get Out” , “The Ring”, “Nightmare On Elm Street” or “The Conjuring” aren’t PERFECT FILMS but they’re AMAZING films non the less. This isn’t one of my “trashy & fun” movie choices or “gonna give you nightmare if you fall asleep watching it” kind of suggestions. This is a good movie with good acting and a really GOOD script. No plot holes, no dumb twists you’re going to see ahead of time and no one going so over the top it’s gonna make people laugh in a few years. You’re not gonna peee your pants but you’re really gonna enjoy yourself. * Biggest WTF Moment: I’m not going to throw any spoilers out since this is brand new and in theaters. I’m gonna go with the very last scene in the movie. No other spoilers coming! * My Rating/ Do I recommend? 9 / YES
