You might think that living life to the fullest means visiting all the countries in the world, quitting your job on your own terms, and falling recklessly in love, but in reality, it’s about learning to live in the moment. It means learning to take care of yourself, to feel good in your own skin. It’s about learning to build a simple life that you can be proud of. A full life is not always made up of things that excite you. More often, it’s something that gradually convinces you: slowing down is okay. And you don’t always need to prove something. You don’t always need to fight or want more. And it’s okay when some things stay as they are. Gradually, you’ll realize that life can only develop outwardly in proportion to inner stability, and if small things don’t bring you joy, it’s unlikely that something big will satisfy you.

Yesterday, I tried a self-reflection technique that felt very intimidating to me. I’ve been avoiding it for a long time, but recently, things got to the point where I realized I had nothing to lose by giving it a shot.
It wasn’t easy emotionally, but it was absolutely worth it. For the first time in what feels like forever, I was able to fall asleep. The tension I feel hasn’t vanished completely, but now it feels more manageable.
💡 I want to share this practice with you because it might help you support yourself during challenging times.
Imagery Work for Self-Reflection
This practice helps process unresolved emotions and experiences that might still affect your well-being. It’s a way to revisit those moments with care and compassion, especially when it feels like your inner self needs some extra support.
Here’s how you can try it:
🌸 Step 1: Create a Calm Space
Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you feel at ease. Take a few deep breaths or do something simple to relax before starting.
🌈 Step 2: Recall a Difficult Memory
Think of a moment that made you feel upset or unsupported.
👉 Picture it clearly—where were you? Who was there? What was happening?
💔 Step 3: Acknowledge Your Feelings
What did you feel in that moment? Try to name those emotions and notice how they feel in your body now.
🛡️ Step 4: Bring in Support
Now, imagine someone caring and strong stepping into the scene. This could be the version of you today or any comforting figure.
They offer kindness, protection, and the words you needed back then, like:
